Our Approach to Treatment

Rehabilitation can make all the difference for young patients recovering from orthopedic illness or trauma. When children are admitted, they undergo a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team assessment. With this information, the team designs individualized treatment plans to address the child's specific needs. Therapy is part of a multi-faceted pediatric orthopedic treatment that is individualized to your child's needs and provided at bedside or in the therapeutic gym area as the child tolerates increasing intervention. Our team continually monitors progress to determine if adjustments should be made. Each child’s management includes pre-discharge planning and post-discharge follow-up, if indicated.

We make every effort to include a child's family during his or her treatment. Our experienced staff helps teach the family about their child's condition and how to manage symptoms at home. In addition to learning medical and therapeutic care, they can participate in patient care conferences with other members of the treatment team. Additionally, we offer parents resources to cope with stress and other difficulties during their child's treatment.

Our admissions team at HealthBridge Children’s Hospital works closely with referring hospitals to ensure that the admission process is efficient.
