Our Approach to Treatment

At HealthBridge Children’s Hospital each patient is evaluated and an individualized care plan is put in place. Monitoring of vital signs is available from the bedside to nurse's station to manage the most complex cases. As children improve, they may receive Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP®) or Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) as other forms of ventilation. Ongoing assessments are provided for ventilator weaning and tracheostomy removal.  Unlike traditional hospitals, an advantage of our Cardiopulmonary program  is that patients with tracheostomies and ventilators can participate in our Acute Rehabilitation programs promoting shorter recovery times.

As part of the transition to home, our experienced staff help teach the family about their child's condition and how to manage symptoms at home. In addition to learning medical and therapeutic care, they can participate in patient care conferences with other members of the treatment team. Additionally, we offer parents resources to cope with stress and other difficulties during their child's treatment.

HealthBridge works closely with referring hospitals, physicians, insurances, and family members to ensure that the admission process is efficient and timely. To refer a patient, schedule a tour, or ask questions regarding our services, please call 888-306-5121 and someone will assist you.
