About Us

HealthBridge Children’s Hospital specializes in providing pediatric medical care and rehabilitation for children ages birth to twenty-one who have suffered from a catastrophic illness or injury. We are dedicated to assisting these children and their families through challenging times within a home-like and nurturing environment.

Our comprehensive program of services allows us to serve our patients throughout the continuum of care from coma stimulation and chronic illness care to ICU step-down, acute rehabilitation and outpatient therapy. Our mission is to help each child reach his or her highest potential, while providing for the best quality of life possible.

HealthBridge uses a team approach for positive outcomes in an environment that promotes recovery. Individual care plans are developed to meet the medical, rehabilitative, social, and emotional needs of each child. Cultural, economic, educational and geographic requirements are also considered.

This interdisciplinary approach utilizes a variety of medical professionals and specialty consultants dedicated to helping the child achieve positive functional outcomes. Since families play a vital role in the recovery process and attainment of goals, we consider them important members of the healthcare team. Parents are afforded the opportunity to participate in their child’s treatment planning and care. When the child is not getting therapy, individual goals are intermingled with educational, recreational and social activities.
