Dear Staff at HealthBridge – Our family would like to thank you for the wonderful care that you provided our family during these past few months. When our baby was born it was hard for us to imagine what needs she would require. It was equally difficult for us to ascertain how we would be able to meet those needs and still take care of two little boys. The staff at HealthBridge met us in our time of worry and taught us how to properly care for her special needs. You were courteous and patient, when we were emotional. You were supportive and informative when we were weak and naïve. You cared for our entire family, while ensuring that our child’s care was primary. For these reasons, the staff at HealthBridge will be remembered for the rest of our days.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for the care of our daughter and for making the difference in her recovery. It is nice to know that there are still very nice people in this world, and I think each and every one of you have been angels that have touched our daughter in many ways. Thank you.

Thanks to everyone for their contribution in making my sons birthday so special. The balloons and card were great! I heard that the staff went into his room and sang him “Happy Birthday” and he was smiling ear to ear. It really touches my heart to see how loved he is. Thanks again.

We specialize in the care of children, spanning ages from newborn infants to age 21 years. Our comprehensive program of services allows us to serve the needs of children and their families throughout the continuum of care including ICU step-down, coma stimulation, acute rehabilitation, chronic illness care and outpatient services. Our mission is to help each child reach his or her highest potential, while providing the best quality of life possible. There's no place like home, but when a child is sick or injured and can't go home, HealthBridge is here to help.

 

Rehabilitation with a pediatric focus

 

HealthBridge focuses on the care and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults who have suffered from a disabling injury or illness. Our staff of pediatric care experts addresses the many needs of these children including:

Care is coordinated with the local school district and other support agencies in the community. Recreation and social activities are driven by the child's own interests and include peers as well as family members.

An environment that promotes recovery

 

HealthBridge understands and recognizes that your child's family and environment play an important role in the recovery process. Your child's family is encouraged to participate with the Rehab Team in the care and development of treatment plans for your child.

Treatment plans are individualized to address the emotional needs of your child and family, as well as medical, social and physical needs. Regular  team meetings  allow for adjustments if needed after evaluating your child's progress. The home-like setting provides your child with a warm and nurturing environment that helps accelerate the healing process and encourage growth.

Private rooms facilitate quality time with parents, friends and other family members. Unlike traditional hospital settings, children are able to participate in activities both inside and outdoors. This relaxed environment is also more conducive to family training and an easier transition to home.
